You may be visiting Miami with kids and already had enough of our beautiful beaches. The good news is that you can choose from few great Miami Beach parks where your kids will particularly enjoy.
Here we share some of our favorite ones and we hope you appreciate them as much as we do with our kids!
Flamingo Park is nestled in the heart of South Beach. It brings the entire neighborhood together late afternoons and it’s a great park to get a glimpse of the locals. The fenced kids playground is located next to the pool where a huge tree in the center brings much needed shade to keep little ones cool.
There are plenty of slides and swings to keep them busy too and if you need to cool off, head to the pool which also has a great kids section. The pool is free for residents and visitors pay a small fee.
South Pointe Park
South Pointe Park is the most popular one among all Miami Beach parks. Located at the southern tip of the island, the park offers something for everyone including a kids area with a playground and a mini water park.
There’s plenty of seating or parents can relax on the grass while watching their kids splash. There’ s a little cafe to get drinks and snacks and don’t be surprised if the park is crowded on weekends. It’s a popular destination for locals from Miami and Miami Beach.
This is definitely a park to consider while visiting Miami with kids. You could all go for a dip in the ocean by the pier and don’t forget to check out this newly renovated pier too.
An amazing panoramic view of Fisher Island, Downtown Miami, Biscayne Bay and the ocean awaits you! Your little ones will enjoy the up-close view of the mega cruise ships as they enter or exit the port.
See the superb view of the park from the terrace above the cafe or from one of the hills. You could also go for a stroll to Miami Beach marina, head west on the boardwalk. Also, arrive early on weekends as the parking gets filled up.
Maurice Gibb Memorial Park
Named after the late famous English musician who spent his last years in Miami Beach, Maurice Gibb Memorial Park is the smallest and most intimate of our three top Miami Beach parks. It’s a hidden gem mainly enjoyed byt the locals who live around there.
Located in the back of the island, on trendy Purdy ave, it overlooks the bay with a lovely view of downtown Miami. The kids playground is shaded with a large tarp that has a slide and bongo drums! It’s also one of the best spots on the island to watch the sunset. Parking could be difficult, specially on weekends.
Happy travels with the kids, enjoy your stay and discover more things to do in Miami Beach!
