6 Miami Airport Transportation Modes to Miami Beach

We’re glad you’re planning to come visit our beloved Magic City, Miami! After arriving in Miami International Airport (MIA), it can get a little hectic figuring out how to get to Miami Beach.

Several Miami airport transportation modes can get you there safely. The following is a list of reliable transportations to Miami Beach.

Miami Airport Transportation - Miami International Airport - MIA

Private Sedan/Limo – Ride in style with your very own car service. Convenient private sedan service, ExecuCar, offers airport “Meet & Greet” service with personalized signage, customized services for special events, flat rate fares, corporate direct bills accounts, and on-board credit card service at competitive rates. They can even take you from to Fort Lauderdale and beyond.

Car Rental – We suggest considering a car rental from Miami Aiport only if you need the car for traveling longer distances in South Florida. It’s far better for a family to rent a car from the airport for the comfort and hassle-free commuting. The new MIA Rental Car Center, consolidates most Miami car rental companies into one sustainable facility.

Taxis – They can take you from the airport to South Beach for a flat rate (see rates). Simply exit baggage claim and follow the signs to the Taxi Kiosk. There is no additional charge to share a taxi.

SuperShuttle – With a flat rate per person to South Beach, shuttle rides are a convenient, cost-effective way to get to/from the airport. It’s a safe alternative for the travelers who want to avoid taking a taxi or public transportation alone at night. SuperShuttle Miami is the only form of ground transportation at the airport beside taxis that does not have to be pre-arranged, making it a perfect way for last minute travelers.

Airport Flyer Bus – Cheapest of them all! For few dollars, you can take the Airport Flyer Bus from the airport to Miami Beach. The bus is air-conditioned and equipped with luggage racks and comfortable seating. Stops on Miami Beach include the 41st shopping district down to the southern tip of the island, at 1st street.

The Airport Flyer Bus runs every 30 minutes and provides express service, 7 days a week, between MIA Metrorail station and Miami Beach. For lates info, check out this brochure

Complimentary Hotel Shuttles – Who doesn’t like a free service! Several Miami Beach hotels offer free shuttle services for their guests. Visit your hotel’s website or call them to see if they offer this service.
